The Comedy Princess - DVD

Factory owner Dvorský (Korbelář) needs the neighbouring kaolin quarries to operate his factory, but the mayor will only sell them if Dvorský marries his daughter, Táňa (Ferbasová). Around the same time, a puppet theatre arrives in the village. Dvorský invites the puppeteers (Vojta, Baarová, Pešek) to his home to perform for his sick son, Mirek. When the puppets are accidentally destroyed in a fire, the factory owner offers Eva (Baarová) a place to stay, as he has taken a liking to the charming young woman.

The film was developed under the working title “Princezna komediantů” (The Comedian Princess) and featured original puppets by Matěj Kopecký.
