The cranes are heading south
A fragile story about the desire to gain power over one's own destiny
All Bo Anderson has left in his life are regular visits to the nursing home, his faithful dog and a jar of scarves still smelling of his beloved wife. But his rheumatic fingers can no longer open the lid of the jar. Time is running out, and Bo would like to mend his cooled relationship with his son. But now he is trying to deprive his father of the last comfort in his life - his dog, Sixten. Concerns, that he'll lose a loyal companion, will stir up a storm of emotions in the old man, that makes him look back on his life, fatherhood and beyond, the way he showed love.
