The Curse of Hecate Cavendish
England, 1881.
Hereford Cathedral stands guard over the city, protecting its secrets and holding long-forgotten souls in its stony embrace. With her skirts daringly hiked up, Hecate Cavendish hurtles through the cobbled streets on her bicycle, heading towards her new life as a librarian's assistant.
But this is no ordinary collection of books. The cathedral is home to an ancient chained library, its wisdom guarded for centuries, its secrets and stories locked away on its worn, humble shelves.
The most precious artefact, however, is the medieval world map hanging next to Hecate's desk. She has no idea how significant the strange figures and mythical creatures depicted on it will become to her. Nor does she know that lost souls await her in the haunted cathedral. Some will become her dearest friends. Others will seek her help in finding peace. And some will put her in great danger, which, as Hecate quickly discovers, will threaten the lives of everyone she loves.
