The Dead of Charlottenburg

Summer 1923
Inspector Leo Wechsler is on holiday with his girlfriend Clara Bleibtreu on the island of Hiddensee. There, Clara meets doctor and women's rights activist Henriette Strauss, an energetic and charismatic personality. The doctor is well-travelled, involved in social issues, and refuses to be bound by convention in her love life, all of which fascinates Clara. However, in the autumn, Henriette dies suddenly and unexpectedly in her flat in Charlottenburg. The cause of death cannot be determined with certainty. Leo begins an investigation and comes across strange events at the hospital where Henriette Strauss worked.
