The curse of the Hochstetler farm: The dark past that kills again

The old Hochstetler farm is rumored to be cursed in Painters Mill. Police Chief Kate Burkholder is summoned to the scene where an old man has been taken from the world, seemingly by his own hand. Soon, however, the evidence reveals that it was in fact a murder, which, moreover, is somehow related to the incident at the Hochstetler farm. When another dead man is discovered, again an apparent suicide, the connection between the victims comes to light and the horrific details of that night thirty-five years ago when an Amish father and his four children, whose mother disappeared without a trace, are gradually revealed.
