The Defence of Constitutionalism

How can the Czech question, which has defined our political and social development for two centuries and which has always included the position of our country and nation in Europe, sound in a European-integrated and globally interconnected society at the beginning of the 21st century? This is one of the questions that Přibáň asks in his publication on public affairs, political systems and law. The Defence of Constitutionalism is a collection of essays in political science, sociology and social science. However, we do not find here forms of abstract philosophising; what makes Přibáň unmistakable is his unique cultural scope, against which he addresses contemporary issues. The translation of the original edition has been adapted for English readers and expanded with new chapters, the preface written by P. Pithart, published in the Václav Havel Edition.
