The Divotvorny Hat - DVD

The main characters, two poor students Strnad and Křepelka, were expelled from Prague. They console themselves with the fact that Křepelka is to inherit from his uncle. But his uncle left him only an old hat. The boy seeks help from his relative, the merchant Kolias, who is the guardian of the beautiful Betushka. Křepelka immediately falls in love with the girl, but Kolyáš does not want to give her to the poor student. Strnad, however, gets a great idea to use the hat to trick Kolias. He tells the stingy merchant that there is a stranger lying dying in the inn who has a hat that can be used to get anything for free.
