The fall of Hyperion

The Fall of Hyperion is a magnificent sci-fi adventure

The interstellar war between the Hegemony of Man and the once-human Ousters has begun. The pilgrims on their long journey to the Shrike have told their stories. The identity of the traitor among them has also been revealed. And after the stunning exposition, an equally extraordinary vision of the future begins to unfold.
The narrator of our story is Joseph Severn, an artificially created 'cybrid' who guides us through all layers of the story in a unique way. Joseph is waging a private war with the CEO of the Hegemony, Meina Gladstone, while maintaining a telepathic connection with the pilgrims on the planet Hyperion.
Through his alternating perspectives, we follow the fates of the members of the group we already know so well, and with them, the fulfilment of the all-encompassing destiny of humanity itself unfolds before us.
The Fall of Hyperion is a spectacular adventure with considerable philosophical depth. Within a fascinating story, it explores the problematic relationship between humanity and the intelligent beings it has artificially created, contemplates complex questions of moral and ethical responsibility, and offers a compelling testimony to the fundamental importance of empathy and love—values that are 'woven into the universe as firmly as gravity'.
Like its predecessor and the Endymion duology that follows, it will captivate its readers on almost every page.
