The Fifth Ship - DVD

The Fifth Ship is a story of a child's adventure, the adult world seen through a child's eyes, including what adults cannot see. The film tells the story of children who feel safer on the streets than at home, where they search for lifeboats between fairy tales and harsh reality.

Jarka is such a child. She's ten years old and has a mom who doesn't want to be a mom. Jarka is still alone, desperately looking for love and finds it by chance when she decides to replace the mother of two toddlers with whom she hides in an abandoned garden hut. Together with the boy Kristián, they create a family of children, well hidden from the eyes of adults. They carry their world in the garden, which they managed to create for a while, and the bond that was formed between them, into their lives as something mysteriously pure and lasting.
