He will be the first to learn the new identity: Evie Porter. Her mysterious boss, Mr. Smith, assigns her a position and Evie finds out everything she needs to know about the city and the people who live there. Then it' s the target person' s turn: Ryan Sumner. The last piece of the puzzle is the task.
Evie doesn' t know Mr. Smith' s true identity, but she knows this assignment will be different. Ryan gets under her skin and she begins to imagine a different life. But he can' t make any mistakes right now - especially after what happened last time.
But mainly because her doppelganger has appeared in town with an identity that Evie knows very well - the only identity she has carefully guarded her entire life. It was as if she was standing face to face with herself. Evie must stay one step ahead of her past while ensuring she still has a future. There couldn' t be more at stake – but Evie always liked a challenge.
