The Fox's Dance
She was convinced that her grown-up children had good relationships with each other. But she was wrong. Or she was just telling herself that. Perhaps she was just blindly idealising her children… For her eightieth birthday, former teacher Hermína Foretová had only one wish: to spend a week with her sons and daughter in a lodge near Svatý Hostýn, where she used to take them in their childhood. But it is there that memories of the tragedy in which the family lost its youngest member – five-year-old Prokop – are rekindled for everyone. His red plush fox, which he received from his parents for his fifth birthday in 1975, begins to haunt the family years later. It waits for them in the lodge, to remind the siblings and their mother of the horrific past. The old, shabby toy – which unwillingly danced the fox's dance forty-two years ago – provokes, irritates, and divides them. They all have to learn to live with their past, even after they return to their homes. And just like in the distant seventies, someone will pay for it with their life…
