The Gospel according to Pilate
The novel consists of two parts. In the first, the speaker is Jesus himself (in the book Yeshua), who performs miracles but still feels that he does not direct his own steps. In the second part, Pontius Pilate, in letters to his brother in Rome, describes a certain Yeshua, who was a bad carpenter and a bad Jew, who fraternized with drunkards and prostitutes. After the intimate first part, the novel takes on an almost detective feel. Pilate becomes visibly nervous after the crucified body is lost and the first rumors of Yeshua' s apparition begin to spread.
