The homemade lavender cookbook

In this book, you'll find almost 90 recipes for dishes with lavender and 18 tutorials for homemade cosmetic products and scented decorations, as well as gardening advice on which type of lavender to choose for your garden, how to care for it, and how to harvest and store it. The collection of lavender kitchen recipes covers a wide spectrum of dishes – from soups, main courses, and side dishes to desserts, syrups, smoothies, jams, various treats, and even seasoning blends. Using your own homegrown plants, you can create unusual lavender-scented gifts for your friends or just for yourself: lavender cosmetic products (oils, soaps, balms, creams) to fragrance your bathroom, soften your skin, or repel pesky insects, or perhaps writing paper decorated with dried lavender, a lavender bundle for a unique home sauna experience, lavender wreaths, pillows, or scented sachets for your wardrobe or car... Petra Rubášová lives in South Bohemia on the Mlsná ovečka farm (mlsnaovecka.cz). Together with her husband, she raises many farm animals, produces homemade sheep's cheese and products from honey and herbs, keeps bees, and runs an agritourism business.
