The Hunger Games

Two sisters – two destinies…

Great love, life-altering loss, and sensual passion will come to them both, but each experiences it in her own way. For the older sister, Bára, relationships are a complete disaster, and the men who pass through her life bring her no happiness. Even Marek, who seemed to be the one, ends up hurting her. And while Žofie marries the man of her dreams, she tragically loses him soon after. Not long after a harsh awakening, when she catches her boyfriend cheating, Bára becomes the victim of a dangerous stalker. She, and later the police, have no idea who is persecuting her and threatening her life, or why.
The initially wide circle of suspects gradually narrows, but the perpetrator remains hidden. An avalanche of threats and attacks forces her to flee her own home… And it’s precisely this that leads her to meet Daniel, a firefighter. She experiences a spark of love, and the passionate moments help her forget. However, nothing is as straightforward as it seems, and a series of pitfalls awaits Bára…
Meanwhile, Žofie is tormented by memories of the car accident that killed her beloved husband, Ondra. She falls into a depression that eventually leads her to suicidal thoughts. She needs to find the strength to live again – and finally, a new man appears on the horizon… Will he help her rise from the ashes and fly again, or will her life end definitively in ruins?
The destinies of both women intersect in a dramatic conclusion full of suspense, heightened emotions, and surprising revelations.
