The Joker, Death and the Fool

The fortune teller and astrologer Regina Palla moved to the small village near Kapliceky a short time ago. One beautiful spring afternoon, she is found murdered in her home. Her death raises a lot of conjecture and concern, did a local man do the killing, or does the motive lie in the victim's opaque and somewhat mysterious past? What do the three tarot cards found near the body mean? Is the murder of the fortune teller related to the recent attack on her ex-husband, a shady businessman who had influential friends? Major Pavlata and Captain Klensky are trying to explain all this, Marie Kovandová is also amateurishly searching for the murderer, and her old friend, the journalist Štěpán Mánek, is also interested in the case.
