The journey to you in 80 days

Ramona Keen, whom everyone calls Romy, a native New Yorker raised in the big city, dreams of enrolling in a photography studio and one day going to Paris. But her dreams are far from the reality of everyday life. Instead of travelling and taking photos, he works in his uncle's nerdy bookstore, where tea is drunk by the litre and all adventures take place only in the pages of second-hand books.

When a new, evil landlord shows up at the store with his shy nephew in tow, Romy's peaceful life begins to collapse like a house of cards. Avoiding eviction means agreeing to triple the rent, and that's something her uncle certainly can't afford. The only solution is for Romy to get a well-paying job to help the bookstore.

After a quick and sufficiently intimidating attempt to work in a giant call centre, Romy gathers all her courage and applies for a job at ExLibris – an exclusive travel agency that organizes tours based on literary stories. Roma will have one of the most difficult tasks – to prepare for clients an itinerary of an adventure trip based on the classic Verne story Around the World in 80 Days.

The task is on the verge of feasibility, because he must personally complete the journey exactly according to Phileas Fogg's original route, he must not use an airplane, and he has even less than the original 80 days to complete the task. If she makes it, a fabulous financial reward and a permanent job await her.

Roma, who left NYC only once in her life – on a school field trip in eighth grade, he overcomes his fear and hits the road. He soon finds out that he has an unexpected opponent – Dominic Madison, the would-be nephew of the landlord who threatens her and her uncle's future, seeks to do the same. And he has just as good a reason as the Roma.

Will Romy win the race and make it around the Earth in time to save the bookstore? And what happens when she discovers that the man who should be her mortal enemy is inappropriately attracted to her?
