The Kingdom of Eternal Silence

"Oh my God," gasped the psychologist, "this is crazy! Such a burden on that innocent girl's soul! The main thing now is to keep the tabloid scavengers away from the case. I can see their headlines now. Daughter convicts father as murderer! Even the kingdom of eternal silence would suit them." The dramatic ending of one of the short stories in Roman Cílek's new book once again hints at the strength of his already proven storytelling skills. Once again, the strange human fates and irreconcilable feuds of personalities and their interests, which often lead to the world of crime, are deflated in a fascinating plot.
