The Main Candidate - DVD

Hugh Jackman stars as the charismatic politician Gary Hart in this gripping drama about the rise and fall of Senator Hart, a politician who captured a generation of young voters and was considered the front-runner for the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988.
His campaign was overshadowed by reports of an extramarital affair with Donna Rice. For the first time in history, tabloid and mainstream journalists joined forces, and Senator Hart was forced to withdraw from the race under the weight of the circumstances. Despite this, he left a deep and indelible mark on American politics and the world stage.
