The Man Opposite

An unexpected inheritance in the form of an old house and a dilapidated fire station brings Marek to a godforsaken village. There, in a series of unbelievable events, he becomes entangled in local intrigue and the tales of the village eccentric, whose story is so bizarre it can't possibly be true. Or is it really possible that he met the Libyan dictator, was imprisoned in the famous Sing Sing prison in New York, and competed in the Olympic Games, all without, according to his neighbours, ever leaving the village?
