The Nineties (2DVD) - DVD

Cop or thug? Key cases from the turbulent post-revolutionary period when justice was losing the fight against crime.

A six-part miniseries detailing the investigation of key cases in the first half of the 1990s. Using several contemporary cases, it shows the atmosphere of a time when crime jumped to unexpected heights and when the police were deciding whether they could find and sustain their role.
In the "nineties", freedom for all brought a steep rise in crime. The police have no method, time or resources to counter this. Looks like the big and little goons will definitely have the upper hand.
Tomáš Kozák, a young investigator, joins Prague's 1st Department. Experienced operative Václav Plíšek does not trust his new colleague. But they must face the unprecedented influx of murders together.
