The prophetess and the fool
The end of the world is approaching - time for one last road trip! From the bestselling author of The Hundred-Year-Old Man.
Amateur Swedish astrophysicist Petra has calculated that the world will cease to exist at 9.20pm on 7 September 2011. This prophecy brings her together with the rather simple Johan, who knows how to turn an ordinary meal into a gourmet experience, and Agnes, a pensioner who earns her living as a young influencer under a fake profile. Together they set off in a caravan for Rome, where they intend to make the most of their remaining time. But as it happens, nothing goes according to plan. Not even the end of the world.
This is Jonas Jonasson's sixth novel, which takes the reader on a road trip around the world, from Sweden to Africa to America. The author's typically witty, a humanly conscious life story about what's gonna happen, when the three of them, ...though strange, but morally very strong people will meet, and they'll find a way, how to interconnect their plans.
And all this in the typical, popular Jonasson style that readers enjoy so much.
