The sensitive confession of a fool

David Svoboda is a young author from Brno who has decided to tell his story of living with bipolar disorder. Through two timelines, he draws you into the story from the moment he wakes up after a failed suicide attempt. He intersperses the following years and months with previous experiences and everything that led him to this act.

In his book, he shares his childhood, happy moments, euphoria, the initial symptoms of his developing illness, and the moments when he hit rock bottom. Line by line, you can follow the development of his personality, map the symptoms of his mental illness, or get a glimpse behind the walls of a psychiatric ward.
