The Street Sings - DVD
The circus clowns Emil and Josef take in the abandoned child Franci. After the circus burned down, he makes a living singing in marketplaces. Already an adult, Franci falls in love with Lora, who takes care of them. An unknown thief throws stolen jewellery over the wall to escape the police. Josef and Franci want to sell the found jewels to a junkman. Franci has the jewelry appraised, pawns some of it, and gives some of it to Katy, the young widow he has fallen in love with and for whom he wants to break up with Lory. In the bar, Franci meets Ing. Castle, who notices that Katy is wearing his mother's jewelry. He invites them both home, where Franci recognises the stolen jewel in the painting of the young man's mother. They realize they've been compromised and throw the necklace out the window. The jewel is found by Lory, who has been following him and turns it in to the police. Josef and Emil buy a circus wagon with the money they find, Franci returns to Lora and is happy to learn that he will be a father.
