The testimony of a stolen dagger

After Tadeáš of Příhrazy completes a task given to him by King Wenceslas II himself, he sets off back to his estate with his servants, Vítek and Prokop. The journey begins peacefully but soon turns into a fight for survival when they are ambushed by a band of robbers. They manage to fend off the attack, but during the struggle, Tadeáš’s companion, Vítek, is seriously injured. Tadeáš therefore decides to stay for a while at a tavern, just a short distance from where the confrontation took place. Will Tadeáš live up to his reputation as a skilled investigator this time and uncover the perpetrator of the capital crimes, or will he be unable to manage without the help of his loyal friend Vítek and let the culprit slip through his fingers?
