The Velvet Underground: White Light / White Heat CLR

LP Record 140-gram clear purple LP vinyl. While the 1967 album "The Velvet Underground & Nico" was part of Andy Warhol's global artistic vision, the 1968 album "White Light/White Heat" was stripped of all Warholian influences, making it, in a way, another debut album. Here, the music was left to fester on its own, with no artistic visionary interfering to create a soundtrack for their pop art, and The Velvets filled this void with an album that is a sonic subway car full of drunks, junkies, and whores, hurtling through the bowels of New York with a one-way ticket to oblivion. Special ltd. edition on clear purple vinyl.
