The World of Václav Cigler

A dialogue between two prominent personalities - the publicist and writer Karel Hvíždala and Václav Cigler, a master of fine arts, glassmaker, sculptor, architect and teacher. It provides an insight into the artist's biography, which mirrors his life and creative experience in the course of historical time. The interview is accompanied by rich visual material documenting the transformations of Cigler's work with glass, his architectural realizations in public space, and his proposals for landscape projects. The book is supplemented by lists of the artist's solo exhibitions and collective exhibitions with his participation, lists of catalogues and a thematic bibliography. Special attention is paid to Cigler's pedagogical activities, his "school" and his graduates. The unique graphic design of the publication was provided by Clara Istlerová.
