Thoughts behind the wheel 2

Fetishes full of humour, memories and deeper reflections by Mark Eben

Mark Eben's book, Thoughts at the Wheel 2, is a collection of columns and essays published in magazine form between 2020 and 2024.
What goes through a person's mind when they're behind the wheel? In such a mechanical operation, practically anything. Marek Eben shares his joys and sorrows with the audience (for example, when an unexpected visitor breaks his washing machine), sometimes delving into memories and sharing his sometimes bizarre experiences. Not only ladies will appreciate the opportunity to look into the actor's wardrobe and every animal lover will be moved by the texts about dogs. Whether the author touches on lighter or heavier topics in his writing, he always does so with a good dose of humour, with appropriate insight and self-irony. Alas, if we lived our lives in bathing suits, the first thirty years might be fine, but what about the next fifty or sixty? Clothes are not only practical but also kind, and we have come to believe that it is not at all useless to clothe our souls. Perhaps into manners, social conventions, a noble vocabulary. But once, when it's over, our souls will be naked, she's not even gonna be wearing that bathing suit and that, who created us, will see everything in minute detail, what we did with it, what we got, have done. And let me tell you, I'm not looking forward to walking on this beach that leads to the sea of eternity.
