Thursday Widows

Altos de la Cascada is a private residential area with manicured gardens and endless golf lawns, surrounded by a high fence and guarded by security. The residents enjoy the life of the privileged and have no intention of changing it. It is a place without time, which erases the past from memory and freezes the present in an eternal present. Real life, with its many sorrows, pains, and sacrifices, remains safely behind the fence for a long time. In that seemingly perfect place, the stories of several friendly families unfold, who have created small rituals over the years of living together. One of them is the regular Thursday program, when men meet to play cards over a bottle of wine, while their wives, who are colloquially nicknamed " Thursday widows", go to the cinema together. But the reality behind the fence eventually seeps in, the routine of well-being collapses, and a sequence of events one Thursday night irrevocably turns their carefree life upside down.
