Tingvall Trio: Vattensaga - CD

The group consists of three players of different nationalities and especially of different musical roots. Swedish pianist Martin Tingvall carries the ECM school (or more precisely, one of his teachers, Bob Stenson) among other influences. German drummer Jürgen Spiegel has played with rock bands and accompanied Nigerian hip-hop singer Nneka. A hint of southern rhythms is brought to the band by bassist Omar Rodriguez Calvo, a Cuban who has accompanied Roy Hargrove and Roman Valle.
