Toto: Turn Back

LP Record You could say that "Turn Back" is Toto's lost album. While their debut album went double-platinum and spawned two worldwide hits, and the follow-up "Hydra" was eventually recognised as a neo-progressive rock triumph, "Turn Back" flew under the radar, barely registering on the charts before disappearing from view. The fact that the subsequent album, Toto IV, won seven Grammy Awards and had three top-ten hits only highlights this. Despite being the least-known album of Toto's early era, the band's die-hard fans consider it one of their creative peaks. Originally released in 1981, the band took a much more aggressive approach to it, toning down the keyboards and significantly dialling up the guitars.
