The Eighth Step to Darkness remains on the American continent
Presents two short stories by a single author - Texas native Robert Ervin Howard. Although he lived only 30 years, he created several immortal heroes and together with J. R. R. Tolkien was at the birth of the still popular genre of heroic fantasy. Howard himself brought into the world Conan the Barbarian, Red Sonja and a Puritan swordsman named Solomon Kane. And with Howard Phillips Lovecraft and others, he was one of the most important creators to acknowledge the Cthulhu mythos (today Stephen King is the most famous author of this fictional mythology). The stories The Monster from the Mound and The Touch of Death, brilliantly performed by the invited actors - Petr Šmíd, Jiří Dvořák and Filip Šorm - prove that Howard's work can still stand up today.
