Traband: Friend of Man - CD

A re-release of the legendary album with four bonus tracks! In 2007, Traband returned not only to the concert stage after a hiatus but also with a new record, Přítel člověka (Friend of Man). Now, ten years later, a renewed edition of the album is here, complete with four special versions of the band's songs.

This recording now includes four rare home demo recordings by Jarda Svoboda with Clarinet Factory from 2012. This new version of the album therefore also features a second version of the tracks V hořícím keři (In the Burning Bush), Adam a Luna (Adam and Luna), and Havrani (Ravens). Additionally, you'll find a bonus version of the song Nad Koločavou (Above Koločava). The sixth and, one might say, groundbreaking album by the group Traband, titled 'Přítel člověka', forged its path to fans in 2007. Traband had long announced they would change their style upon returning to the stage. The overall sound of Traband underwent significant changes, and the well-known 'dechno' (brass band sound) suddenly became 'home music'. Jarda Svoboda explained such a drastic change.

'The name ”home music” is not so much a definition of style as an expression of opposition to what is now called ”world music”; it was intentional. To stop, to calm down, to look into one's own soul and to look at the world more generally, from a bird's-eye view, I would say.'"
