Trchová Martina & Trio: Holobyt - CD

The third album by singer-songwriter Martina Trchová is titled Holobyt. The album, which is about "the search for home", pushes Trchová towards a more pronounced genre openness.

After the successful album Takhle ve mně vyjou vlci (Indies MG, 2010), Martina Trchová worked on new songs with her Trio (Patrik Henel – guitars, Radomír Polívka – double bass, Petr Chlouba – drums and percussion). The result is the new album Holobyt, which, after a six-year search, delivers 12 musically rich, cross-genre songs. "I'm still perceived as a folk singer," says Martina Trchová, "but I believe this project will find its way to a much wider audience, because we've managed to find a style for the songs that is more energetic and musically colourful. And all this without taking away from the fragility of the songs."

All the lyrics on the album were written by Martina Trchová, the music was a collaboration between Martina and guitarist Patrik Henel, and the arrangements are the work of the entire band.

Three guests feature on the album (Bharata Rajnošek – wind instruments, Mário Bihári – accordion and Radek Kašpar – Fender piano).
