The authors summarize modern methods of treatment of cardiovascular diseases from hypertension onwards, through heart failure, inflammatory diseases, coronary artery disease as acute, so chronic, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, treatment of heart rhythm disorders, thromboembolic disease, including pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension, as well as ischemic limb disease, treatment of sleep apnea, dyslipidemia, treatment after heart transplantation, treatment of erectile dysfunction, for cardiologists on how to interpret the findings of clinical trials. New chapters have been added on the treatment and prevention of diabetes mellitus and cardiovascular disease, the issue of adherence to treatment vs. polypragmasia or palliative treatment in cardiology.

The book is intended for general practitioners and internists as well as cardiologists in clinical practice. It will also be appreciated by emergency physicians and medics.
