Tribe - DVD

This film features an entirely deaf cast who communicate exclusively through sign language (with no subtitles).

Set in a specialised boarding school, the story follows the journey of a new student, Sergey, as he is gradually initiated into the school's hierarchy, illegal activities, and the uncompromising tribal rules that govern its pupils.

Slaboshpytskiy has created a breathtaking, brutal drama filmed in precise, long takes. Its concept is not far from a silent film, yet it is, in every respect, a beast of a completely new kind.
