Tribute to the Master (2DVD) - DVD

The documentary captures the last major restoration of the altar of Master Paul in Levoča.
Restoration of the altar of Master Paul of Levoča in the church of St. Jakub in Levoča, which is one of the rarest monuments in the world, takes place only once every 60 years. A unique opportunity to discover possible new and unknown facts about the altar, to get to know the monument better, came from 2010 to the end of 2015, when the altar was restored for the first time since 1954.

The feature documentary maps the most important stages of the restoration of an artistic monument and provides information about the cultural-historical context in which it originated and exists. Artistic values created jointly by Slovaks, Germans, Hungarians and Poles, and surrealist animations intertwine and form an authentic whole.
