Tropheus tilapia from Lake Tanganyika

The African Mouth Bass from Lake Tanganyika are the pinnacle of every aquarist's collection. Their breeding is more demanding, but it brings appreciation and also joy of these beautiful fish. Miroslav Kraut (1962) has been breeding lampreys from African lakes for over 30 years. He has long-standing contacts with importers in Germany and Poland. In recent years, the focus has been exclusively on Tropheus fish, as they are the biggest challenge among the tlam. His favourite is Tropheus duboisi. It also breeds rare endemic tree varan – the blue Varanus macraei from the Indonesian island of Batanta and the yellow-green Varanus reisingeri from the island of Misol.
