Tučný Michal: Breakfast in the Grass - CD

A re-release of the hit country compilation from 1993 + 5 bonus tracks

There are many collections of successful songs by Michal Tučný (1947–1995), but this one is significantly enhanced by the fact that it was created during his lifetime and with his input. The timeframe in which the recordings were made and released, spanning from 1980 to 1989, captures the singer in a modern, electrified form, moving away from the word 'western' and closer to the label 'modern country'.
His previous excellent band collaborations are certainly not forgotten, but this collection of songs, brilliantly accompanied by the Tučňáci, presents him in his full solo strength. It features a strong artistic and personal partnership with Zdeněk Rytíř and his down-to-earth lyrics, as well as lyrics by Tučný himself, Miroslav Černý, Vladimír Poštulka, and Michal Horáček. The vast majority of these melodies are considered absolute Czech and Slovak national treasures, their perfectly sung slogans have become household phrases, and Michal Tučný, in his traditional denim dungarees, remains a cult figure in our popular music. This set of exactly twenty songs clearly shows why.

Newly remastered sound, a booklet complete with photographs, and added bonus songs, extending the CD's running time for maximum listening pleasure!
