Two from the Other World - DVD
Although the title of this comedy sounds strange, it describes the plot of the story. The twins - brothers Pavel and Petr Fořt - live a completely different way of life: Petr is a jazz musician in America, Pavel is a professor of classical music in Prague. It is precisely because of their differences of opinion about music that Pavel lets his brother "die" in the Czech Republic and falsely reports back to America that he and the family have died. However, Petr and his adult son arrive in Czechoslovakia and after some confusion and complications, the family is suddenly together. The difference in lifestyle and attitudes between the two brothers is obvious, so it's only a matter of time before they deliberately switch roles and things start happening.
An important component of the film is the music, composed by Vlastimil Hála and Jiří Baur. The compositions were recorded by the Karl Vlach Orchestra and the songs, which became very popular, were sung by Oldřich Nový, Helga Čočková, Jan Tříska, etc.
