Two offensives

Bohuslav Hála's memoir, Dvě ofensivy (Two Offensives), is an extraordinarily impressive and readable work in which he recounts his experiences during his military service with the Imperial and Royal Infantry Regiment No. 11 on the Southwestern Front between 1916 and 1917. It is undoubtedly one of the most compelling memoirs written by a Czech soldier in the Austro-Hungarian army during the Great War.
