Type O Negative: Origin Of The Feces (2x LP) - LP

Vinyl reissue of a famous record. The band's second album was recorded in the studio, the sound of the audience reacting was added to the recording to create the illusion of a concert recording. The album includes a cover version of Paranoid from Black Sabbath's repertoire.

Type O Negative was an American gothic metal band formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1989. Its members were Peter Steele (lead vocals, bass), Kenny Hickey (guitar, backing vocals), Josh Silver (keys, backing vocals) ) and Sal Abruscato (drums, percussion), who was later replaced by Johnny Kelly. Their emphasis on themes of romance, depression and death led to the nickname "Drab Four" (after the Beatles' "Fab Four"). Their 1993 album Bloody Kisses went platinum and their 1996 follow-up Rust went gold. On April 14, 2010, Peter Steele died of heart failure caused by an aortic aneurysm. The other members decided not to continue without him.
