Ukrainian Fairy Tales

These charming Ukrainian fairy tales first take us to the realm of the forest tsar Och, then a magical egg shows us what it hid from the world, and our friends Frost, Hunger and Drought take us among the devils. In the other tales, we will learn that a good wife is better than a pair of oxen, or how Hafijka learned to work. And anyone who wants to find out how Mykola turned into a cow can start reading right away. In each of these 13 stories, good triumphs over evil, cleverness over foolishness, and diligence over laziness.
