Ursiny Dežo: New Maps of Silence - CD

Dežo Ursiny followed up the album Pevnina Detstva with the album Nové mapy ticha in 1979. The authorial duo of Dežo Ursiny and Ivan Štrpka is unchanged, but Ursiny presents himself here with a new accompanying group Burčiak with the leader Pavel Daněk. Among the guests again appear Dušan Huščava and the string group of Milan Tedla, but for example. also Marián Varga. A curiosity is the two-minute track Winner, the text of which was signed by great names of Slovak culture (Štrasser, Gravel, Trancik, Ursiny, Vasova and Zajac). Ursiny presents himself here in his top authorial and interpretive form and it is undeniable that this legendary album of his is today the most solid part of the golden fund of Slovak rock music.

Dežo Ursiny (vocals, electric and acoustic guitar, piano), played by the band Burčiak in the cast: Pavol Danek (bass guitar), Jaroslav Filip (piano, piano, harpsichord), Ctibor Hlinensky (drums), Jozef Škvařil (percussion), and guests: Dušan Húščava (tenor and soprano saxophone, flute), Marián Varga (organ), Peter Smolinsky (acoustic guitar), Martin Karvas (oboe), Milan Tedla (string band)
