Vaclav Neckar - Eighty (80) - Greatest Hits 1965-2023 (4 CDs)
The round jubilee of his life catches the admirable Václav Neckář on concert stages and in recording studios. Despite all the vicissitudes of fate, he has retained his singing vitality, the band Bacily under the direction of his brother Jan, and the amazing repertoire that has been created since the mid-1960s. This compilation offers a logical eighty recordings, which Miloš Skalka has divided into four CDs into well-thought-out chapters: The Start of a Life Marathon, On Your Own (Mainly) with Bacilli, The Eighties as a Test of Adulthood and Rushing into the New Millennium. This vast space covers a long way from the song I bought that guitar for you through Licorice, The Wizard of Oz, Suzanne, Dr. Dam Di Dam, I'll strum it for you, A wandering player, The Soap Prince, Your long hair, Pearl, Love lost, Horse's Eyes to Midnight.
