Valentina is a little girl with unusual ideas, which her best friends Jonas, Peter and Susie are always eagerly waiting for. Ivana Peroutková
A writer and translator, graduate of Theatre and Film Studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. She debuted with the novel Na vahách života (On the Scales of Life) (1992). Since then, she has written over forty titles for young readers, teenagers and adults. She is the author of the exceptionally successful book series about a little girl named Anička and the extraordinary heroine Valentina. Ivana Peroutková's books regularly rank highly in readers' polls and have won several awards. Ivana lives in Prague and has a daughter and two sons.
