Various: Gala Concert Bratislava Lyre 1969 - CD

Recording of a non-competitive gala concert by leading Czechoslovak performers .

Also unique in this performance is the fact that Karel Kryl and Marta Kubišová also met on one stage for the last time. Karel Kryl emigrated after three months and Marta Kubišová was banned from working for eight months by the Bratislava Lyre '69.

The montage of the concert also brings surprises in the form of unknown songs such as My God performed by Hana Zagorová . Singer Petr Novák dedicated his song Lucky Day to the memory of Jan Palach at the concert, and therefore the recording of his performance was considered destroyed by all.

Other interpreters are Eva Pilarová, Petr Spálený, Jitka Zelenková, Martha and Tena Elefteriadu, Valérie Čižmárová, Eva Sepešiová, The Rangers and Milan Klipec. Together with them, you can transfer, for about 70 minutes, to the excited atmosphere of mid-1969, when there was still no severe censorship, but communist normalization crept in.
