Various: Mozartissimo - CD

Already at the time when Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart enchanted Prague with his music, there were a number of adaptations of the most popular melodies from his operas for various chamber ensembles. This is evidenced by the preserved musical notes from the archives of the Estates Theater. Unfortunately, to the great detriment of all of us, the tradition of Mozart' s arias accompanied by a chamber ensemble has disappeared. For decades, music lovers have been deprived of the unusual harmony of the human voice accompanied by a trio of wooden wind instruments.

Mozartissimo is not an ordinary concert of classical music, but uses Mozart' s famous humor and, with a refreshing wit, presents a selection of operas The Marriage of Figaro, Don Giovanni, The Abduction from the Serail and The Magic Flute in a colourful arrangement.

Arrangements for vocal voices, oboe, clarinet and bassoon present his music in a new sound colour. The composer Jaroslav Krček took care of the chamber ensemble' s equivalent of replacing the sound of the entire orchestra. Each of the voices that are heard in the orchestra, whether melodic or accompanying, was assigned to the individual wind instruments according to their character.

Novák' s trio invited renowned singer, soprano Simona Šaturová, soloist of the State Opera in Prague and baritone Aleš Hendrych, soloist of the National Theater, to collaborate on their current music project.
