Antonín Dvořák - orchestral work, complete concerts

Collectors and lovers of Dvořák' s music with the seal of the Czech interpretive tradition can now add more to the previous sets mapping chamber, piano and symphonic works. The previous very successful symphonic ensemble under the baton of Václav Neumann is now supplemented by Supraphon with another “orchestral“ box of 8 CDs. In addition to Slavonic Dances, it includes a number of sporadically recorded Dvořák' s symphonic works (Hussite, My Home, The Heroic Song) as well as beautiful compositions for chamber and string orchestra.

In addition to Neumann' s films, other great Dvořák conductors also spoke here - Mackerras, Bělohlávek or Jakub Hrůša from the young generation. The summary of the orchestral work is then completed by a set of concert compositions, from the almost unknown cello concerto in A major by young Dvořák to the most played concerto in B minor. Here, too, Supraphon reached for the proven top recordings of these works in the interpretation of world-renowned soloists.

Another of the treasures of Dvořák' s genius and the Supraphon archive - in a newly remastered sound.
