Various: The Best of Beethoven - CD

A selection from the compositional legacy, especially symphonic, of one of music's greatest geniuses, Ludwig van Beethoven, is presented in this selection. The symphonies "Fate" with its characteristic first movement, "Pastoral" with its dance-like opening movement, the seventh so-called "Fate" with its opening movement, and the "Pastoral" with its opening movement. with its "mournful" phrase, or "Eroica" with its heroic allegro.

Of course, the monumental "Ninth" with its Ode to Naradost cannot be missed. This symphonic selection is complemented by the brilliant Rondo from the Fourth Piano Concerto with the unforgettable Jan Panenka. Top performances by the Czech Philharmonic and the Prague Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Paul Kletzky and Václav Smetáček, are the highlights of this Beethoven musical profile.
