Variuos: Don' t be afraid of classics! (18) Woodwinds - CD

“Woodwinds or Who is Hollow as Wood“

A hollow wooden stick drilled like an Emmental. And a musician who is definitely no wood! About woodwind instruments we will reveal, among other things, why oboists suck on a small stick, which is at the end of their instrument. Is it because it actually resembles a stick from a popsicle? Or is it because dry would not play? And how many fingers does a clarinetist have to have to handle all the holes on his instrument? Why is the flute a wooden instrument when it is silver?
You will learn all this from curious guides who are not afraid to explore the music up close and look at the tooth (or rather the clapper) with wooden wind instruments.

The world of musical instruments up close and will discover with you from all sides: Helena Dvořáková, Pavel Tesař, members of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra and others.
